Full Bust Bra
Épuisé
The full bust bra offers the most coverage and support for full busted people. It contains a dart to better support a full figure. We recommend this bra for those looking for the most support in a separated cup style bra. All bras come with adjustable bra straps. For larger cups the elastic is 18-20mm wide and for smaller cups it is typically less wide. Please note I do have a limited selection of elastic colours. I will do my best to match as close to possible, in circumstances where nothing matches, I always carry beige, white and black. If you are particular about your elastic colour please contact me before you order.
Full breasts required a fitted band for the greatest support. We have taken an average of what customers typically purchase based on their underbust measurement and have based the band size chart on it. For a more fitted band we recommend sizing one size down in root fabric. If you typically have comfort issues with more fitted bands then we recommend sizing one size up in everyday. Please note that while one person might consider a band too tight another with the same measurements will consider it too loose which is why we took an average.
Please note this pattern has been adapted from a pattern by yawning mama.
How to measure: I suggest measuring 3x throughout the day and taking an average.
For Step 1 and 2 use the following size chart:
Step 1: Choose your back size. To do this wrap a measuring tape around your body, under the bust, getting as close to the breast tissue as possible while standing. Aim for having the tape measure pulled tight without being uncomfortable. This will be the size of your back piece. Please look on the table for the back size which will be a size from XXS to 5X. Round to the nearest measurement.
Step 2: Choose your cup size. First measure your full bust standing straight. Measure around the largest part of your bust and record the measurement. Then bend forward and measure again, recording the measurement. Take an average of the 2 measurements. Now choose your cup size. To do this begin in the row of the size you measured in step one. Now move right across the row until you come to the number that most closely corresponds to your bust (we recommend rounding up). If your bust is more than a 1/2" larger than the largest cup in the same row, move down one row until you come to the first instance of your bust measurement. Record the size and cup for ordering. If you are between sizes and the measurement is 1/2" or more above the lower measurement please round up.
Step 3. Choose your band size. (see table below) To do this wrap a measuring tape around your body, under the bust, getting as close to the breast tissue as possible while standing. Aim for having the tape measure pulled tight (this will probably be slightly smaller than your step 1 measurement). Record this measurement for ordering. Please note that our recommended size is for the band to be somewhat snug. If you prefer a less snug or more snug band size up or down as desired. For cup sizes green and red please note a snug band is important for support.
If you are having a hard time choosing the size please email me at dawn@humbirdwool.com with the measurements (you can also pm me in facebook messenger).
