Below is a more indepth comparison of 2 undies. the traditional brief and the classic cut.
A comparison of high-rise Humdies. Before ordering these I searched long and hard to find the differences so I’m hoping this will be helpful for others. Don’t forget! The group’s Top Contributor for the month wins a free pair of HB undies!
Both pair are a Dawn-died Threads fabric, which is lightweight and stretchy enough to order a size down.
Traditional Brief in blues is size XS with high rise and classic leg.
Classic Cut in pinks is size 8 with high rise and standard waistband.
Based on the snugness of the XS Traditional Brief, I feel it would be more equivalent to a size 6 in the Classic Cut, but I’m wearing an 8. The 8 fits well but I could size down to a 6 too. As is, the differences aren’t major, but they’re relevant. Especially for those with sensory sensitivity.
The Classic Cut has a higher front rise, which is more equal to its back rise, so you have a panty that hits equally all the way around the waistline, like the classic briefs sometimes known as “granny panties”
The Traditional Brief has a slightly lower front rise than back, which looks/ feels more modern while still providing full bum coverage.
The Classic Cut has a slightly higher leg, and thinner bands around legs and waist. Because of the thinner bands and slightly different cut, the Classic Cut sits more inside the bikini line than the Traditional Brief.
I wore the Classic Cut yesterday under a Tencel wrap dress and loved the smoothness the high rise provided, I felt no need to pull or adjust my undies or my dress, they’re amazing. I personally prefer the wider bands of the Traditional and higher front rise of the Classic so I’ll want to keep both of these styles in my drawer!
