Backpackers are designed with a modern unisex fit that is relaxed through hip and thigh and semi fitted through calf and ankle. Please measure the full hip at the widest part often across the backside. We suggest buying based on hip and adjusting the inseam as needed. The included side pockets are line with merino jersey to reduce bulk. 

Please note that rainbow stripes are not guaranteed to match up due to the fabric being knit in the round.
